Diyanet Center of America

The Diyanet Center of America, located in Lanham, Maryland, is a cultural and religious hub for the Turkish-American and Muslim communities. It offers a mosque, cultural programs, educational activities, and community services, promoting understanding and preserving Turkish and Islamic heritage.

In crafting the visual identity for the Diyanet Center of America, we aimed to encapsulate not only the identity of an institution but also that of a vibrant cultural hub where people engage in constant interaction. Keeping in mind the target audience expected to spend time here, we collaborated with contemporary miniature artist Jihangir Ashurov to create the backbone of the brand identity. This collaboration allowed us to draw inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Islam and the architectural details of Turkish-Islamic history, resulting in a visually striking brand identity.

Throughout our partnership, we not only designed the necessary visual materials for the opening event of the Diyanet Center but also provided creative solutions for various needs, ranging from invitations to gifts for visitors and from credentials to wall designs for exhibitions. As the center was still in its early stages, we ensured that every visual element we created aligned with its emerging identity and conveyed a sense of cultural richness and historical significance to its audience.
